At Horizon International School, the safety and well-being of our students are of utmost importance. Our Child Protection Policy creates a secure, nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, emotionally and socially. The school is committed to high safeguarding standards, and all staff, students, parents and visitors are expected to follow the guidelines that protect children from harm, abuse, discrimination or neglect.
Staff Training
Our staff receive comprehensive training on recognising the signs of abuse, following reporting procedures, and creating a supportive, respectful environment for every child.
Safe Recruitment
Recruitment includes thorough background checks and screening of employees and volunteers who work with children, in accordance with legal requirements.
Reporting & Handling
Clear guidelines govern how concerns are reported and handled. Designated, trained staff deal with every concern confidentially, sensitively and urgently.
Parent Partnership
We work in collaboration and open communication with parents — informing them of our safeguarding measures and available support resources — to promote each child’s protection, welfare and holistic development.
Campus Security
Trained security personnel, CCTV surveillance and controlled access systems keep our campuses safe, with regular safety drills for students and staff.
